Se fossi originario di Doha, starei scrivendo qualche straordinario pezzo ambientato fra grattacieli, installazioni grandi e nuove e luoghi che hanno nuovi modi di vivere. Devi prendere semplicemente spunto da quello che sai e spingerlo oltre. Starei descrivendo cose come computer all’interno di edifici, nuove forme di informatica urbana e ambienti cyber e che aspetto avrebbe da una prospettiva architettonica. Starei anche scrivendo sul cosa fare in una società multiculturale con tanti stranieri che arrivano. Si possono scrivere romanzi convincenti su questo argomento. (Bruce Sterling)

If I was from Doha, I would be writing some spectacular pieces surrounding skyscrapers, big new installations and places that have new ways of living. Just take it from what you know and push it from there. I will be describing about things like computers inside buildings and a new form of urban informatics and cyber environment and how it would look like from an architectural perspective. I would also write about what to do with a multicultural society with many foreigners coming in. You can write some compelling fiction on that topic. (Bruce Sterling)
